ABOUT THE AUTHOR
STAN EISELE, M.D.
Dr. Stan Eisele had always desired to be a doctor since he was young, after his dog Chippers suffered a serious head injury that led to his death. This experience stayed with him and shaped his entire path. He later graduated from USC School of Medicine, completed his residency at UCLA, and has worked with patients for over forty years as an internal medicine physician. His career saw him leave the problems of HMOs in California and start a new life and several fruitful years in Eagle, Idaho.
He has even had new strength, after facing a heart attack that threatened his life in 2019, and stepped into retirement. Rather than go into full stagnation, he redirected his efforts to the community. He has established the Eagle Jazz and Blues Fest, and he has been at the forefront in ensuring that the Eagle Civic Auditorium project is realised. Such attempts have provided him with a similar purpose that he had in medicine.
He now lives a less hectic life in Eagle, Idaho, with his family and wife. In retrospect, he is thankful to those patients who taught him so much, and to learning that purpose does not go away when a long career comes to an end, but it only seeks other ways to manifest itself.
